ABOUT THE WRITER

Drew Weber is a Brooklyn-based writer with eight years of experience in advertising and sports journalism. Throughout his career, he’s worked with various outlets, including The Hockey Writers, SB Nation, and Teal Tinted Glasses, to cover the NHL and international hockey tournaments.

In 2019, he collaborated with the San Jose Sharks to develop their “You Don’t Have To Be Into Hockey” campaign while serving as a copywriter at a local advertising agency. Since then, he’s serviced clients such as Anheuser Busch, T-Mobile, and Meta while working in both California and New York.

Drew grew up playing hockey in his driveway and is now a member of the NYCGHA — a recreational ice hockey league that provides the LGBTQIA+ community with a safe space to learn and play the game.
